{Stillwater Photographer} Guest blogging…

Hey!

I just wanted to mention that I got to be a guest blogger today on my cousin’s oh-so funny blog! She is a brilliant writer living in the big NYC and I was so flattered when she asked me to be one of her guests! I felt a little pressure because she is so funny and all and I am not, but oh well, I guess we all have our skills.:)

{Stillwater Photographer} Where does the time go?

I think that is a common parenting question. Where did all the time go? Is it really November already? What happened to May? And June? Or July? August? September? October? Uh.

Personally, we had a busy summer selling our house and moving into a fixer-upper (We LOVE our new home but I am hoping to have a clothes dryer by winter!). Professionally, I also had a busy summer with lots of wonderful clients and shoots!

I am hoping that as my slow season begins I can start breathe and share some of my sessions with you. For now, I will just leave you with a couple images of Bella’s first day of school. I have a kindergardener! I have a kindergardener? Where has the time gone…

{White Bear Lake Photographer} An all-time favorite…

While I was editing a session tonight I worked on an image and it grew into one of my all-time-favorites. In each of my sessions there are always images that I fall in love with. Images that I keep looking at or that make me feel so good about the family in front of the camera. But for some reason, every so often there is an image in front of me that I know will make me happy for a long time. One that I know I will sometimes take a peek at when I need a little “artist-confidence-booster” (if you do any kind of creative ventures, then you will know exactly what I mean by that!).

This is one of those images. And even though I am too tired in this moment to write about how amazing this mother is, or about how cute Grace is, or about how I photographed her when she was a baby like her brother is now, I still needed to post this image. If I waited to post the images until I had the time to say everything in a fun and creative way like I love doing, I would just never get around to it (like all the blog posts in my head lately that are just waiting to come out)!

So I hope you enjoy the image. Maybe soon I will post a few more from our session including a really fun baby comparison shot of Grace when she was a baby and a similar shot her brother Max now. Until then…

Annie {St Paul Children’s Photographer}

I have been wanting to experiment with a new product idea for a while now and I knew just the girl to help me out. I needed a cutie with lots of spunk and personality and a mom who was willing to put forth the effort and let me test this on them.

Meet Annie.

Cute? Check.

Spunky? Check.

Personality? Check.

Willing mom? Check.

So I headed on over to their house on Saturday to do the shoot and we had SO much fun! When I said that the shoot was a wrap – Annie wanted to keep going!
